Dr. Aakriti Mehra created AI Aesthetics with a clear treatment philosophy: aesthetic skin care should begin with assessment, not assumption.
In routine skin and beauty care, clients are often asked to choose a treatment by name. HydraFacial, carbon facial, chemical peel, glow facial, laser hair removal, PRP or skin tightening may be selected before the skin has been properly assessed.
Dr. Aakriti’s approach reverses that order. The skin is first studied in context. The concern is interpreted. The treatment is then chosen, modified or sequenced according to the person’s skin type, concern pattern, history and goals.
This is the foundation of AI Aesthetics.
Dr. Aakriti Mehra completed her M.B.B.S. from Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi, in 2008.
During her undergraduate medical training, she was awarded a gold medal in Medicine and multiple silver medals, reflecting strong academic performance across her medical education.
She went on to complete her post-graduation in Dermatology from Lady Hardinge Medical College, University of Delhi, in 2011.
Lady Hardinge Medical College is one of India’s longstanding and highly regarded government medical colleges, with a long history of medical training in New Delhi.

Dr. Aakriti Mehra’s treatment philosophy is built on five principles.
Aesthetic concerns are rarely isolated. Dullness may coexist with tanning. Pigmentation may coexist with sensitivity. Open pores may coexist with oiliness, acne history or early texture change. Hair fall may be influenced by scalp health, nutrition, illness, stress, hormones or genetics.
A treatment should not be selected only because it is popular. It should be selected because it is suitable.
Two people may ask for the same treatment and still need different protocols.
One person seeking HydraFacial may need hydration and gentle extraction. Another may need barrier support. A third may have pigmentation or recent irritation, where the treatment may need to be modified or delayed.
The same principle applies to chemical peels, carbon facial, laser hair removal, HIFU, RF skin tightening, hair treatments and IV wellness.
Indian skin frequently needs careful planning around tanning, pigmentation, melasma tendency, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and sensitivity after aggressive procedures.
This does not mean treatment should be weak. It means the treatment should be selected correctly, introduced sensibly, monitored carefully and supported with aftercare.
Some treatments are designed for freshness, glow and hydration. Some are corrective and need multiple sessions. Some concerns can improve but may recur if triggers continue. Some results require maintenance.

Skin is dynamic. Its visible condition can change with sun exposure, hormones, inflammation, sleep, travel, stress, medication, skincare use, recent procedures and environmental exposure.
A fixed facial or treatment menu cannot fully account for this variability.
